Okay, we’ve made it to 2022. That has a nice ring to it, I’m sure you’re paying the price for seeing off 2021 in style, but there’s still plenty of stuff to do on New Year’s Eve in London.

Whether you want to start the year with a bang or prefer to spend the final day of 2021 in a more laid-back manner, there are numerous ways to ring in the New Year and welcome 2022 in London.

New Year’s Eve fireworks in London

This year’s New Year’s Eve fireworks over the Thames aren’t going to happen. The Mayor of London promised us something exciting in exchange, but it’ll almost certainly be an internet do. So all you people who were planning on going to the South Bank or Victoria Embankment, you can forget it.

Central London New Year’s Eve Parties and Nightlife

COTTONS RUM SHACK:

At Cottons in Vauxhall, you can celebrate NYE parties in the real Caribbean way!

Take in our world-class DJ’s selection of RnB, Hip Hop, Reggae, Soul, Old Skool, Club Classics, and let’s get into 2022 with a fantastic view of the London fireworks display as you sit on the Vauxhall Bridge waterfront estate!

The main area will be the bar, which will include a long bar and table spaces, as well as a lounge with a dance floor and DJ Booth. A front patio with views of the River Thames and the London Eye down river will also be available.

VENGABOYS LIVE MUSIC IN LONDON AT THE CLAPHAM GRAND 

2021 NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY

It’s not quite Ibiza, but The Grand is where the Vengaboys will make a live entertainment this New Year, according to the website. Other live performers have yet to be named, but we may expect drag queens, confetti cannons, freebies and more as the clock approaches midnight in true Grand style.

SKYLIGHT AT TOBACCO DOCK

Skylight at Tobacco Dock, a trendy rooftop bar and party venue in East London, will host a New Year’s Eve celebration. There will be promotional items all night long, as well as special guest DJs and party favors.

They will screen the London fireworks display on our 12 screens located throughout the venue. Ticket includes glass of Moet & Chandon champagne on arrival.

LONDON NYE BALL:

The magic ingredients for an unforgettable New Year are provided by a Battersea Park-themed all-inclusive New Year’s Eve party with breathtaking scenery, delectable set menu cuisine, and captivating entertainment: the perfect mix for an unforgettable New Year.

Ring in the holidays with a thrilling, snow-filled Winter Wonderland featuring twenty-foot Christmas trees and incredible copper chandeliers towering overhead. The party is filled with high-energy activities such as soaking up the ambience and savoring delectable canapes and ice-cold beverages.

This exclusive all-you-can-eat supper club is the ideal place to unwind and enjoy a luxurious three-course meal. The welcome cocktail for Gold Ticket holders will be followed by an exquisite three-course gala dinner, bottomless cocktails and a NYE party in the Grand Ballroom at the evening soirée.

BAR ELBA

Bar Elba is a favorite of ours; it has twinkling lights, fruity beverages, and views over London’s roofs — in addition to being conveniently located near Waterloo station. The New Year’s Eve celebrations at Light It Up is the theme, taking place five stories up. DJs, live music, burgers, games, and gifts are all part of the fun night. Plus, you can use your ticket to get free drinks for the duration of the event.

ABBA DISCO

With Abba Mania’s Spectacular New Year’s Eve events at Boisdale, you’ll get to dance and sing along to your favorite ABBA songs. So get ready to mug for the crowd in your platform shoes and party till dawn.

You’ll be able to hear all of your favorite songs, such as ‘The Winner Takes It All,’ ‘Mamma Mia,’ ‘Money Money Money,’ and ‘Waterloo.’

The Yacht London

The Yacht is a unique restaurant in the form of an ex-navy yacht moored on the river, not far from Temple tube station, with incredible views of London and the Thames. From 5 p.m., The Millbank Martini Bar will host the celebration, which will include party food from 7:30 p.m.

The Savoy

The Savoy is pleased to announce that it will continue its New Year’s Eve celebrations this year, and they will be more thrilling, breathtaking, and spellbinding than ever before.

A spectacular gala dinner with wonderful music will be held on December 31, 2017 as part of Revelry: A Savoy New Year – a fantastic celebration.

Do you require a post-New Year’s Eve recovery strategy? The Hangover Recovery Brunch will take place on Saturday and Sunday, January 1st and 2nd, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., with live music from our DJ. We’ll also be open for lunch and dinner starting January 3rd.

German Gymnasium

Make it a night to remember and celebrate with a four-course dinner for £109 per head, as well as live music and a DJ playing party songs all night long, for New Year’s Eve. From 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., the German Gymnasium will offer an Early Bird special Menus, which includes four courses for £85 per person.

For those without sore heads, the restaurant we’ll be open from 10am, from 1st January onwards for breakfast, lunch and dinner as usual, with the option to add on free-flowing bubbles to your meal between 11.30 am – 4 pm from 1st – 3rd January.

Le Pont La Tour

Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Le Pont de la Tour style with Executive Chef Tony Fleming’s six-course tasting menu, or £150 per person at table.

Enjoy yellow fin tuna tartare, wasabi and avocado mousse, pickled mouli, chilli, ginger, lime, roast rib of Cumbrian beef with bone marrow garlic snails cassis shallots truffle pomme mousseline red wine fumet. Serve chilled. Finish with the following: Paris – Brest, prune and Armagnac Paris Brest, honeycomb, smoked almonds, pear ice cream!

The jazz bar is the perfect place to spend a romantic evening out. In addition, dine in the restaurant and listen to live jazz music!

Orrery

For a really special dinner, join Orrery for Christmas. A Christmas day dinner will be served, including traditional festive dishes such as the Beef Wellington with pomme purée and truffle jus. We’ll also have both a Vegetarian and Vegan Christmas dinner available, which include items like the Truffle and herb risotto at £139.

On New Year’s Eve, they will be greeting you back with our New Years Eve Meal. Our Vegetarian and Vegan Menus – all costing £110 – are also available.

For all these dining experiences, we’ll pair your food with a wine matching to make it as unique as possible. For £75 or £105, depending on the restaurant, you may opt for premium or wine pairing for all of these meals to ensure that your day is as memorable as possible.

New Year’s Eve shows and concerts in London

New Year’s Eve Gala at the Barbican

The New Year’s Eve Gala at the Barbican will offer an evening of classic music by the London Concert Orchestra. The show will include popular classics by composers such as Bach, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky.

Birmingham Royal Ballet

The Birmingham Royal Ballet returns to the Royal Albert Hall for another performance of The Nutcracker . This traditional ballet is performed with live music, and will feature familiar dances such as the Arabian Dance, the Waltz of the Flowers, and the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.

Rumba

At bar Rumba, celebrate the New Year with some New Year’s Eve Comedy and the Comedy Carnival. The show will include London’s top stand up comedians, international cabaret acts, and special party announcements for the New Year.

Things to do on New Year’s Day in London

  • New Year’s Day Parade – The London New Year’s Day Parade, held on January 1, is one of the world’s most renowned and spectacular street parades. Thousands of dancers from across the globe participate in this year’s event, which will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC World News.
  • In the January sales, hit the boutiques in one of London’s top shopping destinations to score bargains. Oxford Street, Regent Street, and Bond Street are all great places to start.
  • If you’re looking for a more low-key activity, take a stroll through one of London’s many beautiful parks. Hyde Park, Green Park, and St. James’s Park are all within close proximity to each other and offer lovely views of the cityscape.
  • For more family-friendly activities, consider visiting some of the many museums in the city. One of the most popular is The Science Museum, which offers interactive exhibits on space, technology, light, and sound, amongst others.
